Checking in with Folks around the World

Greetings from Creston, British Columbia, Canada.
How are all of you coming along with your rehearsals and preparations? We have just printed our posters and I have to correct one time, guess I was in too much of a hurry. Here is our poster and the change is that our fourth performance will be at 2pm on the 23rd. We are calling ourselves one of the world premieres. When are other groups putting on their musical? We have had some bumps in the road, but are now full steam ahead.
We have what we think is a rather unique approach to the sets, want to hear about it?
Hope to hear from some of you soon.

I'd LOVE to hear about your approach to sets.

We have set up a living room off to stage left by constructing a 6'x6' extension off the end of the stage. The Browns will stay in the living room and the main stage will be used to bring Amelia's imagination to life. The stage is 36' long. We are using 4 sets of 4'x8' flats (2x2 wood frames with cloth stapled on and painted like stones, 2 hinged together) to create stone walls. One set is a door and window. By rearranging them, we can create the various scenes. For the delivery of the gifts we turn them around (wood on the other side) and decorate the "house" with a wreath and garland. The are light weight with carpet stapled on the bottom to slide into place. You can see throught the window to allow the inn scene to be "alive and full". I will post another blog with a scan of the drawing and then post a photo of the actual screens when they are dry (fresh paint today).
